President Muhammadu Buhari has hosted founding fathers of the APC hosted to a dinner at the Presidential Villa .

A State House statement suggests that President Buhari organised to show appreciation to the critical stakeholders for their continued support, understanding, co-operation to his administration, and keeping faith with the goals and ideals of the governing party for national salvation.

It say meeting is also aimed at ensuring at a rancour-free and the successful conduct of Saturday’s national convention of the party.

In attendance were the first interim chairman of party, Chief Bisi Akande, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Ogbomnaya Onu, Rochas Okorocha, Ibrahim Shekarau, and Aliyu Magatakarda Wamako.

Others are Governors Nasir El-Rufai, Aminu Bello Masari, Rotimi Amaechi, Chairman, Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party, Governor Mai Mala Buni and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

Details of the interactive dinner held behind closed doors were not disclosed.

President Buhari had hosted APC Governors, chairmanship aspirants of the party, and leadership of the National Assembly to a similar dinner, during which issues relating to the party’s national convention were discussed.
