Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari has given assurances of adequate support to the Arm Our Youths ArOY Health Campaign Initiative of the OCI Foundation to be launched on the 3rd of February, 2020.
She gave the assurance when the Founder and President of the OCI Foundation, Professor Chris Ifediora paid her a courtesy visit at the State House Abuja.
Hajia Buhari explained that as the World commemorates Cancer Day, Nigerians and the Government must show serious commitment towards addressing all cancer related issues and ensuring a reduction in it’s prevelence.
The President of the OCI Foundation, Professor Ifediora noted that the Health Campaign was endorsed by Harvard and supported by the World Health Organization, WHO.
Professor Ifediora explained that the target was to collaborate with the Nigerian Government towards ensuring that cancer preventive teachings be included in the curriculum of all Senior Secondary schools in the 36 States and the FCT.
He added that a Gynocular Center would be inaugurated at the Apo, FCT, and hoped that similar gesture would be extended to the six geopolitical zones subsequently.
