    Federal Government has concluded plans to commence distribution of over 4million prepaid meters to electricity consumers across the country.Minister of Power, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu stated this during the inauguration of 330 KVA Power Transmission Substation in Akurba, Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.The inauguration of the electricity project was performed by President Muhammadu Buhari as part of activities lined up for the president's two day working visit to the state.Fielding questions after the inauguration, the minister said federal government had committed substantial resources under the Mass Metering Programne towards phasing out the era of estimated billing for consumers.Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu stated that the 4 million prepaid meters were in addition to over 1 million which have already been distributed to electricity consumers across the country.He pointed out that the 330 KVA Power Transmission Substation would boost socio-economic activities in Nasarawa State and the Federal Capital Territory as well as neighboring states of Benue, Plateau and Kogi.Highpoint of the inauguration was inspection of the three thirty KVA Power Transmission Substation Project by President Muhammadu Buhari.Chris Nyamtu
