The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has today matriculated 1089 student for 2022 academic session in HND and ND in different courses.
In his speech at the ceremony, the Acting Rector Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua who was represented by the Deputy Rector Academics Engr. Shettima Umara Ali charged the students to ensure that they live a moral and upright life while in the Polytechnic to see it not just an institution for academic learning, but also a place for character building.
He therefore, urged them to be focused on their Studies with the view of acquring a sound education for a successful future.

The Acting Rector, told the students to note that the ongoing projects such as the complex of schools of Science and Technology as well as Environmental studies and landscaping of gates are at various stages of completion, while construction of School of Management studies and FM Radio complex have commences and would soon be completed.
Dr. Babale finally urged the students to be good ambassadors of the great insitution within and outside the campus.

In his vote of thanks, the Registrar of the Polytechnic, Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu thank all those who made the occasion possible
He also called on the students to be of good behavior and obey the rules and regulations of the Polytechnic.
The matriculation which is the 26th of kind was witnessed by diginitaries within and outside the institution.
