As the Kaduna National Station of the FRCN marks its sixtieth Anniversary on March 15th, President Muhammadu Buhari was among among the early callers in felicitating with the station.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, the President recalled the role it in uniting the people of Nigeria and in restoring peace and mutual trust during and after the country’s Civil War in the late nineteen sixties.
The statement notes that radio Nigeria Kaduna has earned a reputation for its programs that are educative, enlightening and entertaining which have attracted listenership for the station across Nigeria and neighboring countries.
He said in view of contemporary challenges in broadcasting the federal government was working on plans to reposition its radio stations nationwide for more efficient service delivery.
While congratulating the management and staff of Radio Nigeria the President urged them to uphold the station’s legacy of uniting the nation and educating members of the public on key issues that will promote national development.
