The National Association Of Women Journalists NAWOJ Yobe State Council has describe the murder of Ammi Adamu Mamman in her matrimonial home as heartbreaking, sympathetic and unfortunate.
Yobe State Chairperson of NAWOJ, Fatima Ahmed Mohammed made this known during an interview with Newsmen in Damaturu.
Mrs Mohammed described the Incidence as a setback to the efforts of the union in its war against gender and domestic violence in the State.
She explained that as a women group, the union will intensity efforts towards addressing challenges confronting women, children and the vulnerable in the Society by speaking out and making Gender and domestic violence cases public, and until the perpetrators of such evil acts are brought to book.
Mrs Mohammed noted that the union will
not relent in its efforts to report such cases to various media outlets, until the issue received the necessary attention it deserves.
NAWOJ therefore called on all Stakeholders to rally round and support the Nigerian Police to reveal the truth surrounding the murder of Ammi Adamu Mamman.
