The PDP Kebbi South Senatorial candidate, Garba Musa Maidoki, has assured to provide the riverine communities with sustainable renewable energy if elected for the socioeconomic development of the area.
Musa Maidoki stated this, while addressing his supporters at villages no the riverine in Yauri Emirate of Kebbi State.
“It is a pity that, River Niger has cut you off from the main land and connecting your communities to the National Grid is almost unrealisable at the moment. Our focus however is to make everybody in my constituency enjoy the dividends of democracy by providing social amenities”.
He stressed that, solar and windmill energy of high capacity that will cater for the need of the teeming fishermen to refrigerate their catch in large quantity so that It can be marketted in many parts of the country would be provided.
According to him, the diplorable condition of educational and health structures in the areas were worrison, while the poor economic status of women in the area was un aceptable saying, he will deploy his constituency project resources to solve the problems when voted into office.
Maidoki said, the incoming PDP led government would bring to an end youth violence by providing community driven jobs that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of their society.
He said, all relevant authorities responsible for improving water transportation will be pursue so as to provide modern boats in order to bring to an end incessant boat mishap that usually claimed lives of many innocent people while looking for their lawful means of livelihood in the area.
The Senatorial candidate, however charged the supporters to be lawabiding during the forthcoming general elections.
