The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, says, his administration is welcoming any investor towards the development of the state.

Governor Atiku Bagudu, stated this at the Groundbreaking Ceremony of an Air Unity Aviation college in Birnin Kebbi to be established by a private airline firm.

Governor Bagudu, however commended the commitment of the Air Company for seeing the state worthy to attract such a huge investment in states of the Northwest.

He assured his administration commitment towards supporting all category of investors into the state.

“We must commend the patriotic spirit of the investor for putting such a huge investment in the state”.

The Governor pointed out that, Investment by the private sector in the country is in consonant with President Muhammad Buhari’s economic development drive.

He therefore called on all patriotic son’s and daughter’s of the state to come home and invest for the development of the state.

The Managing Director of the Airline, Alhaji Ahmed Bashir, says sitting of the College in Kebbi state was with a view to open a window capable of building the capacity of the people of the state especially, the youth in order to convert the opportunities abound in the aviation industry.

According to him, the College with the capacity of producing 50 pilots, 100 engineers and host of other experts, was not only targeting the state but the whole of West Africa countries.

He disclosed that, the construction of the College was expected to be completed in the next five months.

“The Construction of the College is expected to be completed in the next five months. Though, the college will not take up immediately as there are a lot of other requirements of both national and international regulatory agencies that must be met before the training commences.”
