Kwara state Police Command says it has arrested a suspected Beninois Kidnapper Muhammed Alo and recovered dangerous weapons from him at a forest in Kosubosu,Baruten local government area of Kwara state.
In a statement by the spokesman of the command ,Okasanmi Ajayi said the police acting on an impeccable intelligence, assisted by local vigilante, stormed the forest within Kosubosu in Baruten axis, in search of some suspected Kidnappers hybanating within the forest.
According to him a search of the bushes by the police and vigilante team led to the arrest of the suspect who is a citizen of Benin republic .
Okasanmi said items recovered from the suspect includes ,One locally made gun, machete ,Jack knife, Two telephone handsets of different make, One Bluetooth ,as well as the sum N2.3 million naira .
He said the suspect confessed to being a member of a transborder Kidnapping gang, whose other gang members are now in Benin Republic.
Okasanmi noted that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
