Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has signed the 2022 budget, with a size of N189.617,587,624, billion naira.
The proposal from the executive had pegged the capital expenditure at 55.3% of the total package while the recurrent stood at 44.7%.
Speaking shortly after signing the budget, Governor AbdulRazq said the budget also captured workers’ promotion and the consequential adjustment component of the national minimum wage .
According to him the administration will also focus on completing ongoing infrastructural projects, job creation and expanding the economic base of the state.
He said the state government will try to ensure full implementation of the budget as much as revenue permits.
AbdulRazq commended the state House of Assembly for doing the needful to ensure that the budget is passed on time.
In his remark ,the speaker Kwara state House of Assembly , Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, reaffirmed the determination of the House towards ensuring effective lawmaking in the state.please
