The Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr.Geoffrey Onyeama says the Buhari led administration is doing everything possible to ensure credible, free and fair elections this Saturday.
He made this known in Abuja when he recieved members of the European Union Parliament Election Observation Mission.
Mr. Onyeama who appreciated the EU for showing interest in Nigeria’s democracy, by sending a strong observation team, said the Federal Government would maintain its commitment towards ensuring credible exercise.
He said on security which was important during and after the polls, the meeting of the security Council was chaired by the President and areas of concern would be tackled.
EU Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS Samuela Isopi said the peace pact signed by stakeholders had shown the commitment of the Buhari administration and should be maitained.
She said the already reported case of violence remain condemned while urging the media to escalate any form of violations to the public.
