The Federal Government has declared Monday October 2, 2023 as public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd independence.IMG 20230928 WA0021The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement on Thursday said the administration of President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated commitment and determination to tackling challenges facing the country.According to Dr Tunji-Ojo, the challenges facing the country was global as it affects all other countries and not Nigeria alone.He assured Nigerians that the Government was constantly making efforts to confront the numerous challenges with necessary apparatus at its disposal until solutions becomes a reality.The Minister of Interior asked Nigerians to be united and work together to make the nation great.Dr Tunji-Ojo said it was time Nigerians took a cue from the founding heroes of the country who despite their religious and ethnic differences, came together to achieve an independent Nigeria of today.He added that through the ”Renewed Hope’ agenda, President Tinubu would ensure a better Nigeria for its citizens.The process for the celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, commenced on Monday with a world press briefing.
