The International Human Rights Observatory, IHRO-Africa says it will ensure the detection and protection of abuses in respect to the Rights of Adequate Livelihood & Housing; Detention Rights; Disability Rights; and Disappearance Rights in the Country.
The Organization ‘s African Patron, Mr. Kenneth Ibe-Kalu, stated this during a news conference ahead of the Inauguration of it’s Headquarters in Nigeria.
He explained that with the inauguration of the Organization, Nigeria would take giant step in ensuring that Women, especially in rural areas, Children and other vulnerable citizens have access for redress in the event of suffering such abuses.
Mr. Ibe-Kalu listed strategies for achieving it’s mandate in Nigeria and Africa.
Mr Ibe-Kalu pointed out that the organization was also collaborating with different countries in areas such as: Trade and Commerce, as well as providing social infrastructure like safe drinking water, for women especially in rural areas such as safe drinking water and provision of sanitary facilities for women.
He stressed that the Organization would ensuring the protection of Rights of Women and Children at workplace or elsewhere by bridging knowledge gaps.
According to Mr. Ibe-Kalu, the International Human Rights Observatory Africa launch is coming up on Tuesday 15th November 2022 at the Main Auditorium of the National Center for Women Development, Abuja.
He said the Launch aims for fostering empowerment of rural women in Nigeria and also IHRO INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS AWARDS in collaboration with International Human Rights Commission, American United Nations Team The International Royal Academy of United Nations.
