A four Day seminar for capacity development of Nigerian Army Senior commanders has commenced at the eight division Nigerian Army headquarters Sokoto state.
In his opening remarks, the special guest of honour and Chief of Army Staff, Major general Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja said the seminar which was tagged Second Senior Command and Leadership Senior was aimed at transforming the NA into well trained and equipped to ensure a highly motivated force towards achieving their constitutional mandate within a joint environment.
The chief of Army Staff who was represented by Major general Kelvin Aligbe said the seminar was also designed to equipped senior commanders and senior military leaders with the requisite skills to enhanced their competency in a complex environment.
Major general Lagbaja stressed that the move would also avail the participants the opportunity to share experience and draw lessons.
He urged the participants to Centre their attention with a view to enhancing their professional knowledge and administrative competency.
He added that the seminar was needed for effective responses to the contemporary security challenges affecting the country.
Radio Nigeria in Sokoto report that the participants were drawned from north east, north west and north central geo political zones.
