    Kwara state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a gang of eight suspected serial motorcycle thieves and receivers in Ilorin, Kwara state.Parading the suspects at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Ilorin, the spokesman Olasunkanmi Ayeni said the prime suspect, Wasiu Ismail, 30, confessed that he usually look out for houses whose tenants and owners forget to lock their gates before going to bed to steal their property.According to him the suspect Ismail was arrested by operatives of the corps on July 15, 2022 over alleged stealing of three motorbikes at different locations in Ilorin and Oro town along with other six accomplices.Mr Ayeni said the prime suspect Ismail regained freedom from correctional service on July 2, 2022 after serving a year and half over plasma TV theft.Mr Ayeni, expressed concern over the increasing cases of theft of motorbikes in the State and its environs .He said all the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigations are concluded.ALI RABIU
