Akure, the capital city of Ondo State witnessed another carnival-like campaign as members of the labour Party across the state converged on Akure city hall to campaign for their presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his vice, Yusuf Datti

Addressing the supporters, the presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi said it was time the country embraced unity, work on its security and move from consumption to production
Mr Obi encouraged the electorate to vote labour party to end economic woes, social and education backwardness, brain drain among other problems confronting the country
In separate remarks, the OBIDATTI presidential campaign council southwest coordinator Chief Sola Ebiseni and the labour party’s Vice presidential candidate, Mr Yusuf Datti said going by fairness, justice and equity, it was the turn of the South Eastern part of the country to produce President
Also speaking, the party’s national chairman, Mr Julius Abure maintained that Peter Obi had the wherewithal to bring fortunes to the country
Ondo state labour party chairman, Mrs Remilekun Ojo and other leaders in the southwest expressed optimism that Mr Obi would reverse the dwindling state of the county if voted as president by next month
