Yobe state Government has launched the second phase of palliatives distribution in Yobe south at Damagum, Fune Local Government Area to ameliorate the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
Governor Mai Mala Buni was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, the deputy Chairman of the Committee on Palliative, has officially launched the second phase of palliative distribution.

The Deputy Governor stressed that the target beneficiaries include vulnerable groups such as people living with disabilities, the less privileged, and students.
Sub-committees were also formed, comprising of members from different sectors of society, including traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders, and representatives from civil society organizations all to ensure a fairness and timely distribution of the palliatives in the various local government areas,.

He also urged the community members to cooperate with the respective committee in order to effectively carry out the distribution process and also appealed to the people to continue praying for the peace, successful harvests, and overall prosperity within the state and the nation at large.

Likewise, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Mohammad Goje, assured that the beneficiaries will be selected based on their needs.
The distribution is estimated to reach over 14,500 communities across the state, contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
