President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja from Addis Abba, Ethiopia, after attending this year’s session of the African Union summit.
At the summit, the President stressed the need for Africa to solve her problems herself, through unified approach to all the issues threatening peace, development, and stability.
He also emphasised Nigeria’s resolve to stand against oppression, bullying, and sabotaging the progress of weaker nations.
President Buhari held bilateral talks with leaders of other countries on the sidelines of the summit, which dwelt on economic and security co-operation.
At the summit, Nigeria was re-elected into the African Union Peace and Security Council, AUPSC, for another three-year mandate from 2022-2025, to represent the West African region.
At arrival, the President was welcomed by top civil and military officials.
