     Scores of bandits have been killed in a gun duel with combined team of police from Gawu Babangida and Paiko division military and vigilante members in Niger state.Similarly Divisional Police Officer DPO Paiko division Supretendant of Police Mukhtar Sabiu and four other police officers from both divisions have paid the supreme price during the encounter.Police Public Relations Officer DSP Wasiu Abiodun stated this in a statement issued to Newsmen in Minna.According to the statement combined teams of police from Gawu-Babangida Division and Paiko Division  military, and vigilante members were drafted to the scene, the hoodlums were engaged in a gun duel and repelled with scores of them being neutralized, while others escaped with some bullet wounds.Commissioner of Police, in charge of Niger State Mr Ogundele  Ayodeji, has  led a reinforcement team to the scene and recovered the bodies of the deceased personnel.He however condoles with the families of the affected personnel and reassured members of the public that the Command will not relent in the fight against banditry and all forms of criminality in the State. ALIYU LAWAL.
