As usual the residents of POTISKUM in Yobe state spent Wednesday night without power.
Many of the consumers expects the resumption of work by the TCN but to their dismay spent the night in darkness.
What is not clear to thousands of electricity consuners is that, was the union leaders failed to communicate to their members.
It would be recalled that the leadership of NUEE announced the decision of it’s members to embark on the industrial action due to non compliance of their demands by the board members of the TCN.
The suspension of the strike preceeded the truce brokered by the labour minister.
A reconciliatory meeting between the Federal government and the striking electricity workers was held in Abuja on Wednesday.
At the end of the three-hour long meeting, the workers agreed to suspend the industrial action which has thrown the country into total blackout.
The workers expressed optimism that federal government will listen to the voice of reasoning and priotise their welfare.
