A total of 301 Nigerians including an infant evacuated by the Federal Government from Ukraine via Budapest, Hungary have arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja today at 8:40pm yesterday.
They were received by a team of Federal Agencies coordinated by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The Director General of NEMA Mustapha Ahmed, represented by the Director of Search and Rescue Air Commodore Edward Adedokun welcome them to the country and explained to them that the Federal Government had made arrangement to support them to their various locations.
Also speaking, the Director Consular Department Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amb Bolaji Akinremi said that the evacuation would continue in line with commitment by the Federal Government to bring home all Nigerians affected by the situation in Ukraine.
