The Yobe State Government has employed 2,670 graduates to address workforce gaps and fast-track the growth state.
The State Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, stated this while briefing Newsmen in his office, where he disclosed that most of the Civil servants who moved from Borno to Yobe State have retired.
He said, the new employees were selected from the 178 political wards in the state and they consist of 890 degree/HND holders, 890 NCE holders, and 890 Diploma holders.
The Head of Service further disclosed that their biometric data capture is ongoing as planned by the Head of Service’s office.
Bilal also accentuates that the employment is part of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s efforts over the past three years to strengthen the workforce, with a total of over 5,000 graduates hired, including the newly added employees who have been posted to various ministries and departments.
