The Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed dismay with the attitude of some Party members for displaying the photographs of other members on Social Media urging them to contest or show support for their candidature for the Yobe East Senatorial seat, Which is about to be vacated by Senator Ibrahim Gaidam.
This is contained in a statement signed by the State Party Secretary Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, saying that the attitude will put the unity of the Party at jupidy.
According to the statement, making such a call before the Party’s calls for nomination will not help unless to tear it members apart.
It also warns the party members who intend to contest or their supporters to desist from using Social Media to advertise themselves or show support to any person, adding that the Party will not hesitate to sanction any member who engaged in such illicit acts capable of destabilizing the Party.
The Party however reiterates that what is before it, is the Local Government Elections not the Senatorial seat which the incumbent has yet to vacate.
The Party further urges all its members to remain calm and wait for further instructions.
