The Winner of the Yobe East Senatorial District Alhaji Musa Mustapha, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed appreciation to the People of the zone for giving him a mandate to serve as a Senator who will represent them at the National Assembly.
Musa Mustapha made the statement in a press briefing held in Damaturu, the Yobe State Capital, shortly after he was declared winner of the just concluded senatorial bye-election, conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Yobe State.
Alhaji Mustapha who is to replace Senator Ibrahim Geidam at the National Assembly, following his resignation as the Senator representing the zone, and picked his new appointment as the Minister of Police Affairs in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet,
The Senator-elect thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni for endorsing him as the senatorial candidate of the zone and equally thanked the electorates for coming out en masse and voting for his success in the election.
He, therefore, commended INEC, and Security agencies working in the state for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
Mustapha further assures commitment to ensuring the development of the zone.
