Yobe State Government has commerced the sales and distribution of fertilizers for this year’s cropping season.
While speaking at the official launching of the sales Governor Buni said one of the cardinal objectives of his administration is to increase aggregate agricultural output toward achieving sufficiency, security, and commodity export for the improved well-being of the citizens.
He explained that with about eighty percent of the Yobeans engaged in crops and livestock farming his administration remains committed to exploring more avenues for the enhancement of the more agricultural productivity as the main stimulus for providing, self-reliance, and income generation to the farming population.
The Governor officially announced that the Fertilizer would be sold to the farmers in the state at a subsidized rate of thirteen thousand naira, 13,000, per bag.
Earlier in a remark, the Permanent Secretary of State Ministry of Agriculture Dr Musa Abba Kolere, commended the Buni administration for making fertilizer available for farmers in Yobe State.
Musa Kolere pointed out that the official launching of sales and distribution of the fertilizer would give farmers easy access to quality products.
He further called on the beneficiaries to make use of the product for the purpose intended and not to allow others to take advantage of them.
