Thousands of people have converge in Potiskum to offer a special prayer session seeking for Gods intervention in the current state of hardship, economic meltdown and inflation been witness all over the country.
Harmonize Traders Association of Nigeria Yobe State chapter, organized the special prayer session, in a bid to find succour on the difficult living conditions of people in the State.
In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the chairman, Harmonize Traders Association of Nigeria Yobe State chapter, and Executive Chairman, United Marketers and Traders Association of the state, Alh Nasiru Mato said the special prayer was necessitated by the state of hardship, suffering and inflation in prices of all goods, been experience all over the country.
Alh Mato attributed the inflation experienced to hoarding of goods by some businessmen, rise in the price of Dollar, and the cost of transportation of the goods which relates to fuel subsidy removal.
Alh Mato called on all Nigerians to pray hard and seek for the intervention of the creator, instead of organizing protest that will only worsen the situation.
Lamenting on the present condition, Mato said, crime rate has risen to its peak as everyone is in the dire need to make money.
Addressing the congregation, Director Anahada Islamic Corps, Mal Muntari Walee
called on all Muslims to seek for divine forgiveness and repentance From Allah.
While commending the efforts of the prayer organizers, Mallam Walee, called on all Muslims to avoid committing all sort of atrocities and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him and the Holy Quran.
He outlined reasons like Betrayal, Hoarding,
Hypocrisy, Unforseen Interest, wickedness and evil doings as the major causes of hardship.
The Prayer session and Quranic recitation was led by Mal Hassan Parsawa.
The cleric also advised wealthy individuals to give Offerings to the vulnerable and less privileged in the society.
