The Federal Government says its investing in digital services and logistics to rejig the viability of its moribund agencies.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami stated this while launching newly acquired logistics, money cards and equipment purchased by the Nigeria Postal Service, NIPOST on Abuja.
Professor Pantami said Digital services and technology which are critical to financial inclusion of the grassroots, required investments in huge funds and resources to be effective.
Professor Pantami said NIPOST’s services which would be utilized to reach the the grassroots with government policies and programmes needed to be made viable in its operations.
The Post Master General of the Federation, Dr Ismail Adewusi said Postal services are fast evolving as the demand for logistics delivery had increased.
The event featured a inaugural launch of the logistic delivery vehicles of which one was driven by the minister.
