As part of efforts to cushion the devastating effects of destruction caused by some criminals in the recent attack on Gurjaje Community, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has come to the aid of the victims by donating food and non-food items.
The chairperson of Fika Local Government Area who represented Senator Bomai spoke to our reporter in a telephone conversation revealing that, the attack perpetrated by the intruders, left a trail of destruction in Gurjaje community of Fika Local Government Area in Yobe state with loss of live and properties worth millions of naira.
She disclosed that, Senator Bomai's relief materials include a generous support of 50 bags of rice, 50 bundles of roofing sheets, 20 gallons of vegetable oil, 200 pieces of mats, and 200 pieces of blankets.
According to the chairperson, the items aimed to alleviate the immediate needs of those affected and help them cope with the aftermath of the devastating incident.
She further disclosed that the donated items have been inspected by the Emir of Fika, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa CFR and Honorable Yakubu Maluri, Member representing Fika East at Yobe State House of Assembly, for onward transmission and distribution to the victims.
She stressed that, the items will undoubtedly play crucial role in bringing succor, rebuilding lives and restoring the lost spirit of the affected individuals and families.
The Gurjaje community, grappling with the aftermath of the attack, has expressed gratitude for Senator Bomai's timely intervention.
This gesture reflects Senator Bomai's commitment to the welfare of his constituents, signifying the importance of solidarity and support to the needy in times of crisis.
